The Web Marketing Association recently presented a 2008 WEBAWARD for outstanding achievement in website development to Janus Capital Group and s2 Financial Marketing.
The career website developed for Janus Capital was further singled out for setting a “Financial Services Standard of Excellence.”
What merited such attention? Janus Capital’s career recruitment website was transformed from one that focused on job opportunities in its Denver office into a compelling, “storytelling” site with an international scope. The content shifted from the standard company overview with job descriptions, to one with a storyline narrated by Janus employees. By giving the site a personality, Janus was able to go well beyond simply conveying job descriptions; the site now provides prospective employees with insight into the Janus culture and demonstrates how the company’s tagline, Go Farther, also applies to the experience of working at Janus.
